The Belmont model at Fairvue Plantation is designed with a sense of transitional elegance in mind. The home is light and fresh with high contrasting wall coverings and fabrics. Throughout this model, visitors can find playful patterns and textures, which add to the contemporary feel of the space.
This model welcomes family and friends with a foyer that showcases an infinity floor detail. To the left of the foyer, large beams float over the formal Dining Room with warm up lighting. This creates a wonderful place to dine.
Overall, the Belmont is a fresh, livable floor plan with modern details that meet today’s living expectations.
We talked with ARH Senior Designer, Colleen Roach, to learn more about this model home, her design creativity and the challenges that go into designing a model with an out-of-state team.
What did you enjoy most about this particular project?
I love the spirit of Nashville! It is a great city with a fun vibe and an incredible music scene. When a city has a strong identity like Nashville, it is fun to create design features that showcase that character. We had custom instruments made and used them as wall art. They are a great memory point and make the Bonus Room an enjoyable destination.
What is one of your design secrets/ tricks that you used in this project?
It can be a challenge to give an identity to a guest room. Because of this, I incorporated popping colorful accents in the secondary bedrooms. By adding a touch of color, these spaces come alive and are memorable to potential homeowners.
What is your favorite element in the space from this project?
I love the symmetry of the details in the foyer. We designed a custom inlay floor pattern and mirrored it on the foyer ceiling. With the added chandeliers we dropped in this space, it is a very warm and inviting entry.
What feature in this particular project would you want in your home?
When you enter the Belmont model, you cannot help but notice the dramatic, high ceiling and floating beams above the Dining Room table. We dropped a chandelier through the beams and incorporated lighting, which makes it a great space for a dinner party. I would love to entertain here!
What was the biggest challenge for you during this particular project?
Communication is major when working with an out-of-state team. It is always somewhat of a challenge to design spaces that are not local. However, The Ernst Group was an experienced team to work with and was timely in fulfilling all of our requests.
