Andy is a second generation home builder who enjoys every facet of building new homes. Andy tutored under his fathers company in Pittsburgh. As a young man he worked as a carpenter, mason and construction supervisor . While attending Ohio University he met his wife of thirty three years, Michele.
After leaving school he was hired by Ryland Homes, a national builder, and moved to Houston, Texas. A rewarding ten year career with Ryland, moving to different parts of the country and achieving a Division Presidents level was enough. In 1997 Andy, Michele and there three children moved to Cincinnati, where they have a large extended family. For six years Andy was Vice President of Operations for Hills Communities. While at Hills Communities, Andy managed over fifty employees. His team built and developed over five hundred homes and apartments every year.
In 2003 he went back to his roots, starting the home building company Oakmont Custom Homes. Oakmont has built over sixty new homes all over Greater Cincinnati. Today his sons continue to build and remodel under the Oakmont name.
In 2013 Andy saw an opportunity in the higher end custom homes. The majority of these “high end” builders didn’t build what Andy deemed a quality home. They used antiquated processes and floor plans that were not relevant to todays lifestyles . Andy’s brother Mel owns an Arthur Rutenberg franchise in West Palm Beach Florida. The Rutenberg systems and architectural style were exactly what Cincinnati needed. The quality is all about our local team and so Andy offered a partnership to Ian Rife. “Ian and his team are all about quality.” Andy has now been building new homes for forty years and no other builder gives a customer a better home and experience then we do!
