Chapter 6 Cabinets & Trim – Building a Custom Home in North Carolina

Custom Cabinet and Trim Installation

The walls are up and the custom house is looking more and more like a place to call home. Now is the time for cabinet and trim installation at our custom homes at Lake Norman, North Carolina.

The cabinets arrive on huge trucks and the workers hop to.

The most complicated part of the cabinet installation is kitchen islands and wet bars, as they consist of many intricate parts (see right).

They are pieced together in the kitchen, bathrooms, utility rooms, and more. Who doesn’t love some additional storage around the house? They then await their countertops which are installed separately.

The other step in this custom home phase is all of the trim work – including beams, crown molding and all of the trim pieces that give such a finished look to the home. Now that the walls are nice and smooth, it’s the perfect time to add some details.

A substantial amount of progress happens in this stage of the custom home process including the installation of doors, door casings, window trim, window sills, baseboards, fireplace trim, and specialized trim, as seen in our custom bookshelves and hidden pantries.

Next up we talk about Countertops and Ceramic tile at our custom homes at Lake Norman!
