“From my early years in the building business – as a kid helping my Dad around the house, repairing, building, painting I have always enjoyed putting things together and making them look good. I had to – if I painted the house poorly, I got to do it again until I did it right!” – Jeff Bartholomew (President)
With a degree in engineering from Virginia Tech, Jeff began his career with Bechtel – one of the world’s leading engineering and construction firms. After 11 highly successful years with Bechtel working on large scale mega-project size highway and telecomm construction projects in Project Controls, Fiscal Management, and Project and Field Engineering positions, Jeff and Debbie relocated with their young children to Southport, NC to work with his father in a small custom home business. After a short period, his father retired (again) and Jeff continued with over a decade of strong commercial and luxury home building success before becoming an Arthur Rutenberg Homes franchisee.
Debbie, with her medical career background in laboratory management and hospital customer relations, brings more than ten years of luxury residential building experience to Arthur Rutenberg Homes as Vice-President and Project Manager. Her management experience is a significant part of JWB, Inc.’s reputation for world class customer service and ability to coordinate the details of custom construction.
Jeff and Debbie reside with their three teenage sons in Brunswick County where Debbie is also very active with the Cape Fear Equine Rescue League as a founder, board member, and rescue volunteer.
