Our Tour of Model Homes

We recently had the opportunity to travel across Florida and parts of North Carolina on a tour of some of the company’s newest model homes. How did they stack up?

St. Augustine 1201 Kitchen Island

On Day #1 in Lakeland, FL, we encountered another great take on the already popular design, The St. Augustine 1201. A deep dining room along with the spacious leisure room and wetbar overlooking the cozy living room provide many options for entertainment space. Our favorite elements? The exterior elevation was eye-catching and just look at the size of that kitchen island!  From there we continued on to the Bardmoor 1172 and Bermuda 1129 in Lakewood Ranch. We had heard rave reviews about these new great room plans and were not disappointed! Tailored towards the buyer who wants that open feel with a spacious kitchen, there is no question why both of these plans have been such a success. We then travelled on to the gorgeous Martinique model. Not a day too soon either as this model home just sold to a new family anxious to move in!  Check out the picture below of the amazing outdoor living area and balcony.

Martinique Outdoor Living Area

While originally not on our planned itinerary, we decided to take a detour and drive the extra distance to see the new Valencia model in Miromar Lakes Beach and Country Club. We had it on good authority that this was a stop not to be missed. This luxury home design was amazing to behold. We were especially taken with the remote-controlled screen and storm shutters around the outdoor living area.

On Day #2, we started off the day with a trip to the Gulfport model and the Juniper model in Fishhawk Ranch in Lithia, FL. Visiting the Gulfport on this trip was a no-brainer for us as we have certainly sold our fair share of this wonderful family-oriented plan. 3 Balconies, rustic wood beams, and an impressive use of space make this home design ideal for the growing family. The Juniper was another lovely suprise. Completely different look on the outside but again a great use of space for the big family. We ended our brief Florida tour with the Carlisle model in Gainsville, FL. A sharp design with large secondary bedrooms and a raised foyer that provides a unique view through the expansive glass in the formal living area add depth to this popular one-level design.

On to North Carolina! Being in the Northeast Florida market, we have the unique opportunity of being able to cater to not only the traditional Mediterranean/Spanish Florida home seeking buyer but also to those who love the Low Country or French Country look of our neighboring states. Our environment of palm trees and ancient oaks allows an array of exterior looks to work with the backdrop of this area. An emphasis on stone archways, pavered porches, sweeping staircases, ample storage, and generous interior trim details lend to the rustic theme of the gorgeous homes we encountered on our Carolinas trip. We are in the process of bringing these wonderful designs to our area and would love your feedback!
