The 24th annual Arthur Rutenberg Homes Pride In Partnership awards dinner was held June 17th at the Hilton Carillon Park Hotel in St. Petersburg. Awards were presented to ARH franchisees and vendor partners who exhibited noteworthy performances during the past year.
Derek Nelson, Franchisee was named the 2015 Builder of the Year. Derek, and his company Nelson Homes, was honored for their first class internal organization, aggressive and professional marketing and for their satisfied customers who speak to the high quality of construction and service they provide.
Barry Rutenberg presented the Chairman’s Award to David Schenck. The Chairman’s Award is an award to recognize special achievement and is not necessarily awarded every year. David was honored for his extra effort and initiative of being not only the first Franchisee in the Carolinas, but the first multiple Franchisee in the Southern Group. Additionally, David was honored for his leadership and perseverance to be very involved in both the strategic planning and details of the business. David’s franchises are Monterey Bay Homes in Myrtle Beach, Monterey Bay-Charlotte and Monterey Bay-Raleigh.
Vendor of the Year honors went to DalTile. This award speaks for itself, as it is voted on by the ARH franchisees. DalTile started with us over 14 years ago and has worked diligently over the years proving their product enhances the value of our homes. Their commitment to servicing our franchises and homeowners has propelled them to one of our premier vendors. Accepting the award for DalTile was Brian Ellis, Donna Pavao and Nancy Butner.
For the first time there was a tie for Builder Gold Cup Award. The awards went to John Globetti, A.R.B.C. Corporation and Dale Kinsell of Barry Rutenberg & Associates. The Builder Gold Cup is awarded to the franchise with the highest customer satisfaction rating this past year based on customer surveys. It recognizes outstanding performance in critical success factors, including service promptness, courtesy of staff, quality control, and the addressing of customers’ concerns – all as rated by its customers. Both A.R.B.C. and Barry Rutenberg & Associates scored 92% in overall satisfaction and had a 66% response rate.
The Vendor Gold Cup was presented to Alpha Tile & Stone for this vendor partner’s exceptional customer service to our franchisees, their homeowners, the Design Studios and ARH Model Home designers. For over 20 years Alpha Tile has demonstrated exemplary dedication and commitment to our franchises. Accepting the award for Alpha Tile were Chad Wagoner, Mike Casnellie and Lynn Rowe.
Two Best Model Awards were presented. The Best Model Signature Series was awarded to Rosewood Homes for the Coquina model in Viera, located in Melbourne. The Best Model Platinum Series was presented to Nelson Homes for the Ravenna model located at Lake Club, Lakewood Ranch. Both models exhibit good decisions from the choice of a great lot to the right plan, specifications and furnishings.
The Best Model Interior Designer for the Signature Series and the Platinum Series were also presented. There is no such thing as a great model without great interior design. Kim LaQuire won the Signature Series award for her outstanding work on the Caswell at The Hamptons in Raleigh. The Platinum Series award went to Colleen Roach for her excellent display of styling, sophistication and livability in the Port Royale model in Charleston.
The Award for Communication Excellence, the ACE award, is presented to Arthur Rutenberg Home’s vendor partner who, over the past year, has provided the best product training and customer service to ARH builders and Design Studios. The recipient of this year’s ACE Award was Eagle Roof Tile in recognition of their great field representation and superior training. Hawk Kinney, Stan Fields and Ali Spingler accepted the award.
